Stanley
and I met our first Wire Fox Terrier in 1993. My father, who was disabled with
Parkinson’s Disease, needed a dog to love. We found a little Wire in Garland,
Texas, bred by Rhonda McCoy. We housetrained and crate trained her for my dad.
She won our hearts.

Rhonda
took us to our first dog show and the rest, as they say, is history. We bought
our first wire, Andi, from Rhonda. She helped us learn the basics of hand
stripping and we were off and running.
Since
that time, we have worked very hard to earn the AKC Championships on 10 of our
own Wires. We started professionally handling dogs in 2003 and have earned
championships on numerous Wires and Irish Terriers for our clients.
Stanley
is a full time groomer. He grooms all breeds for both pet and show. He offers
hand-stripping for all broken coated and wire-haired breeds. He has been in
this business full time for over 4 years. Apart from the dogs, Stanley has a
B.A. in Finance. The dogs don’t ask him to count very often these days though!
I also
groom all breeds, although my specialty is hand-stripping broken-coated breeds
for show. I am also a teacher and have been for 25 years. I have a B.A. in
Psychology and a M.A. in Biology.
We adore
Wire Fox Terriers and Irish Terriers. Dog hair is a given in our house!! The
only vacations we take are to dog shows. We don’t go anywhere if we can’t take
the dogs. All of our vehicles are tailored to accommodate crates. We took them
with us to the dealership to make sure of a perfect fit before we signed the
paperwork!
"We give
dogs the time we can spare, space we can spare and the love we can
spare. In return, dogs give us their all. It's
the best deal man has ever made."
